It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Merry Christmas from One on One! We hope you've enjoyed the season so far! The hustle and bustle of our everyday busy lives leaves little time to spare, but don't forget this is the season to share the love and magic of the season!

Christmas time is a fun time to really decorate up your home with the magic of the season, however it's so hard to have to take it all down when it's over! Here is a solution: Decorate with nontraditional colors such as teals, browns, creams, pinks, silver and gold. Instead of Santa Clause, why not choose Snowmen, snowflakes and Deer. These items can be displayed thru Januray. Look at these ideas and GET INSPIRED!

Mohawk's The Messiest Kid Contest!!!!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? DOES A CONTEST IT GET ANY BETTER OR FUNNER THAN THIS?

Mohawk flooring stands up to the messiest of kids. To prove it, we’re looking for the Messiest Kid in America. We’re asking moms across the country to submit a video or photo of their little messmakers. Each month, Mohawk will pick the messiest of them all!

The Messiest Kid contest starts April 1 on facebook.com/mohawkflooring. Participants are invited to upload their videos and photos throughout a three-month period. A Messiest Kid winner will be selected each month with winners announced on May 1, June 1, and July 1. The monthly winners will receive a 9 x 12 bound SmartStrand carpet of their choice and a $100 Toys-R-Us gift card.

From July 1 -15, Mohawk will hold a Facebook vote-off between the three monthly winners to determine the grand prize winner. The contestant with the highest votes will receive a 4 night / 5 day trip for four to Disney World or a room makeover of their choice with Taniya Nayak.

Countercards have been sent to each aligned retailer to promote the Messiest Kid contest. Banner ads are also available below for placement on your website.

The things that make kids smile..........:)

Are you building a new home or remodeling your floors and your kids are begging for "colored" carpet? Well, we have two good points of view about this that you may want to consider........1. If you are planning on selling this house within 5 years, you may want to take your kids shopping for some really nice, bright shaggy rugs in the size of at least 5x7. That will satisfy their craving for color and save you from a color carpet that the next person may have trouble accepting. BUT....2. If you aren't planning on selling and you are quite certain of this....WHY NOT? They are only small once! Colored carpet is wonderful and magical to children. It makes them want to play on their fun, colorful carpet that they are so proud of. It puts a smile on their face, which in turn makes you smile! :)

Always come prepared!

When shopping for Flooring, be prepared! If it is a new construction, come in with paint chips, cabinet/counter samples, & even pillow shams if you have it. This really helps in picking out the flooring for each room in your home. Haven't picked Cabinets out yet? No problem.....pick out your Flooring and then take a sample of that to your Cabinet maker and choose your Cabinets based on your Flooring selections. After all, your Cabinets & Flooring are the two biggest investments in your home!!! The same rule applies for a remodel except you can take pictures of paint & cabinets to bring  with you when choose your new Floors. This makes for a much better experience with a lot less confusion and less trips back and forth to your home with Flooring samples.
